Eagar, Arizona
Eagar is located on the Northeast slopes of the White Mountains and is set against a Ponderosa Pine national forest. Its history dates back to the late 1800's when John Thomas Eagar and his brothers, Joel and William, and the Robertson family homesteaded in Round Valley. In 1888 the town was organized under the name Union to unify the small settlements in the area. The name was changed to Eagar in 1892. Eagar is located on Highway 180 at its junction with Highway 60. Eagar is at 7,090' elevation and has a population of about 4,700
